How sequences work
Steps, delays, multi-channel touches, and smart pausing on reply.

A sequence is an ordered list of steps — usually a mix of emails and manual touches — that runs on a per-contact timeline. When you enroll a contact, LeadForge schedules every step relative to that enrollment time.
Anatomy of a step
Each step has:
- Channel — email, SMS, WhatsApp, voice, or manual task.
- Delay — how long after the previous step to fire (e.g. *Day 3 at
- Template — the content; supports merge tags like
{{first_name}}. - Variants — optional A/B copy splits.
09:00 in the contact's timezone*).
Smart pausing
When a contact replies, books a meeting, or marks themselves unsubscribed, the sequence pauses automatically — you never accidentally hammer someone who already raised their hand.
Multi-channel
Mix channels inside one sequence: email on Day 0, LinkedIn task on Day 2, SMS reminder on Day 5. The dashboard shows reply and meeting rates per channel so you can drop dead steps quickly.
