Connecting Twilio for SMS and voice

Where to grab Twilio credentials, how to wire up a number, and compliance.

Last updated August 21, 2026

LeadForge uses Twilio as its primary SMS and voice gateway. You'll need a Twilio account with at least one phone number in the country you plan to dial.

Step 1 — Grab your credentials

In the Twilio console, open Account → API keys & tokens and copy:

  • Account SID
  • Auth Token (or, better, a scoped API Key SID + Secret)

Step 2 — Paste them into LeadForge

In LeadForge, go to Settings → Integrations → Twilio. Paste the credentials and click Save. We immediately verify the credentials against Twilio's API and surface any errors inline.

Step 3 — Buy or import a number

Either provision a new Twilio number from inside LeadForge, or import an existing number you already own. We register an inbound webhook so replies land in your Inbox.

Compliance

Every outbound message respects per-country quiet hours and the global suppression list. STOP / HELP keywords are honored automatically.
